In February 2009, after eight years as Priest in Charge at Emmanuel Church - Pokfulam, the Rev. Matthew Vernon took up his new post as Residentiary Canon Pastor of St. Edmundsbury Cathedral in Bury St. Edmunds. The role of Canon Pastor is to have pastoral care of the Cathedral congregation and community.
Matt's collation and installation as Canon Pastor took place at Evensong at St. Edmundsbury Cathedral on Sunday 8th February 2009 at 3.30pm (11.30pm Hong Kong time).
