Sunday Service

Communion during Influenza Type A (H1N1)
It is requested that communicants when receiving the wine at Eucharist should intinct, by partially dipping the wafer (not the fingers) in the chalice, instead of sipping.

Sunday 27th June 2010 - The Fourth Sunday after Trinity.

Welcome to Emmanuel Church and especially if you are a visitor or have recently moved to the Hong Kong. We hope you will soon feel part of our community. We have gifts of friendship and love to share with you and we invite you to be our brother/sister in God's family. We know you will make new friends Emmanuel; we know that because we have all made new friends here and we try to love and care for each other as Christ asked us to do. So, come and pray, worship and learn, and let us grow together in the faith of Christ and discover more of God's amazing love for us!
Fr Nigel.

Today's colour is Green. Our worship today uses The Family Eucharist for Trinity.  The readings are from Lectionary Year C.
Our preacher today is Fr. Nigel Gibson.

Coffee, drinks and refreshments will be served after the Service.

We hope you will join us.

Parish Prayers

Pray for world leaders: that they may persevere in their efforts to bring peace to those parts of the world where conflict exists. Give thanks for Emmanuel Church and especially for those who visit our community.

Pray for our bothers and sisters who work and worship at St John's Cathedral, St Stephen's, Stanley and Discovery Bay.

On this Ordination Candidates' Sunday, ask for God's blessing on all theological students and postulants; pray for the staff and students at the Ming Hua Theological College.

Pray for those from our parish family who will soon be moving away.

Pray for any special need or concern of your own at this time.

Pray for the sick: Agatha Harrison, Pacita Roads and Ingar Kvan. Pray for the souls of the faithful departed: Gordon Chalmers - may he and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace and rise in glory.

Praying for each other and our concerns is an important way of being a Christian Community and supporting each other.  Please contact our priest in charge Fr. Nigel Gibson about this list.
